Social responsibility begins within our own company - and must not stop at its borders. As part of society, we also want to contribute beyond our direct sphere of activity and provide impetus for a community worth living in.

Fostering Sport

We get involved by fostering the next generation of athletes. Every year, we sponsor the International VS Möbel Cup, a schoolchildren’s and youth ranking fencing competition in Tauberbischofsheim. In addition, we award grants to regional sports clubs to support their youth work.
We also help employees who want to take part in competitions in company teams.

Fostering Culture

Our school museum in Tauberbischofsheim supplements the regional museum landscape with an original location for exhibitions and education. Visitors experience a unique journey through the history of national and international school furnishing and architecture from the start of the 20th century to today. Entry to the museum is free.
In addition, we support regional cultural events, such as the Tauberbischofsheim Castle Concerts, and we are active members of the Tauberbischofsheim Citizens Foundation.

Fostering our next generation and giving them the best possible work opportunities goes without saying for us.
The quality in our industrial, technical and commercial vocational training and the dual courses of study is professional, quality-oriented and at the highest level. This is confirmed by the Dualis seal from the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
We train according to needs and want to earn the loyalty of tomorrow’s employees with attractive work today.

Work-Life Balance

Fostering a work-life balance is very important to us.
Since 2012, we have organised three-week, educational all-day care in the summer holidays on the company premises for our employees’ children, only interrupted by the coronavirus years.
We offer various working time models to every employee. Working from home (office workers) and various part-time patterns are available.

Social 

Wir lassen regelmäßig regionalen karitativen und sozialen Initiativen Zuwendungen zukommen und unterstützen internationale Hilfsprojekte durch die Spende von Schulmöbeln und Logistikleistungen. Zudem sind wir seit vielen Jahren Mitglied im Verein Lebenshilfe e.V. (Goldenes Ehrenzeichen).

Health Promotion

The health and well-being of our employees are very important to us.
All employees are entitled to a preventive check-up every year. There are preventive exercise units during working hours for production staff. The offer to lease a job bike is available to all. 
When creating jobs, we take account of ergonomic aspects and considerations relevant to health.
We offer our employees and external visitors wholesome breakfast and lunch catering in our company restaurant. The company restaurant uses organic fruit and vegetables from our own market garden.

Co-determination

Allowing employees to play a part in shaping the company’s business policy via the Works Council is part of VS’s Company Policy.
Skills and responsibility are balanced, and there is entrepreneurial thinking at every level of the hierarchy in our company.
