VS Stakki A new chair icon

VS Stakki
Three legs, triangular basic shape, made from just one part, minimalist design: the VS Stakki is extraordinary at first glance, visually and functionally unique. With his innovative design, designer Martin Ballendat has created an almost iconic chair object. Seen from above, VS Stakki looks like a graphically reduced symbol, individual and absolutely unmistakable.

VS Stakki presents itself extremely well in any environment, for example in schools, universities, cafeterias or even in private homes. Especially in cafeterias, where it can get crowded at peak times, a small chair can provide great relief.

Indoor/outdoor chair: Nothing about VS Stakki is too much. But everything is possible with it. You can sit on it from any side and the flexible backrest provides comfortable support in any position. An unusual, absolutely unique shape. This is what an innovative chair looks like.

Comfortable all round

How should you sit properly on a chair with a triangular seat? Just as you like it! VS Stakki allows you to sit in a variety of positions, whether frontally, sideways, at an angle or astride. You can sit comfortably and ergonomically on VS Stakki from all sides. The chair has little surface area, but just as much as is needed to sit comfortably in every respect.

grey recyclate granulate from which the sustainable VS Stakki is made

Made from recyclate

So that the chair can be used not only indoors but also outdoors, we make it from a weather-resistant plastic. We switched our production in spring 2023. Since then, the VS Stakki has been made entirely from recycled material. This makes it even more sustainable. The raw material is a pre-consumer recyclate, also known as post-industrial recyclate. The waste comes from production residues generated during the manufacture of other plastic products, and the recycled Stakki retains all its good properties. And, of course, it can also be completely recycled again.

In two sizes

The VS Stakki is available for both tall and short people: a seat height of 38 centimetres corresponds to size category 4 and is particularly suitable for schoolchildren. A seat height of 46 centimetres (size category 6) is suitable for adults and for tables that are around 76 centimetres high.

The chair can manage up to seven floors without tipping or swaying. Another plus: You don't have to be a strongman to lift the lightweight up and down.

Six triangular VS Stakki chairs were pushed under a round table to save space

The VS Stakki is not only a space miracle vertically, but also horizontally. The basic triangular shape allows chairs to be pushed together like pieces of cake. This means that up to eight VS Stakkis can fit around a round table with a diameter of one metre.

"The triangular shape is smart. It gives you the freedom to sit however you feel like. And it doesn't get in the way, even if you want to stretch your legs out to the side."
