SPACE Storage space to go

One minute here - the next minute there. Teaching today thrives on changing work scenarios in different rooms. This turns teachers into transportation artists. Teaching materials need to be prepared, stored, brought into the classroom, tidied up and taken away again. A logistical masterpiece.

This is where our SPACE storage space concept comes into play!

SPACE is based on the Gratnells boxes that are used as storage boxes in our various furniture systems. Find out more about the SPACE concept in our video.

The SpaceWalk mobile storage module with guide rails for Gratnells boxes

SpaceWalk

The SpaceWalk mobile module is available in three widths. It can be clad with side panels, a rear panel and a door, each made of powder-coated sheet steel. The door always has a lock. Each row can hold up to nine flat or four high Gratnells boxes, with or without lids.

The SpaceStation stationary storage module with guide rails for Gratnells boxes behind cabinet doors

SpaceStation

The stationary SpaceStation module is available in two widths. Up to 18 flat or 8 high Gratnells boxes fit in each row. SpaceStation must always be fixed to the wall. If there are several modules next to each other, they should be linked together with row connectors.

David A Stubbs II - the designer behind SPACE

The architect David A. Stubbs, who developed the Shift+ series together with VS.

How do classrooms become inspiring learning environments with maximum flexibility? The American David A Stubbs II has been pondering this question for a long time. His passion is to enhance schools by fostering creativity, health, and well-being. And the path to this is through vibrant, modular furniture that maximizes the potential of every space. This is not only desks and chairs, but also cupboards, platforms – and even a tent.

Classroom in Existing Building – Primary School

Teaching needs space. But where to find it? This question arises above all in schools in existing buildings that have not yet been remodelled or have no extension in sight.
